About Us

Have you ever been wandering down a meadow lane, and caught a glimpse of rusty metal from the overgrowth at the edge of a field? You see a Meadow Lark sitting atop a rusty wheel as he throws back his head and sings with all his might. That was most likely a piece of farm machinery at one time. As it has rested for years, many a bird has perched upon it, and mice have made their nests in the shelter it provided. But today, you have an idea! You pull back the weeds and vines and uncover a horse drawn Mower. You open the toolbox and out scurries a mouse. You jump back and your heart picks up speed--partly because you are startled, and partly because you are thinking how great it would be to dig this thing out and re-purpose it. You wonder how much hay this has mowed, how many hours someone had to sit on this seat, and how many chipmunks have used it as their jungle gym. Today, you are going to give it new life!

Whelp, that's what we are about here at Davey's! We love to find new purpose in things of a day gone by. When men took pride in their craftsmanship and made things to last a hundred plus years, leaving us a heritage that is quickly disappearing. I started re-purposing when I was about 10 years old. My first project was salvaging lumber from a fallen down spring house to build a fort. Since then, my love for finding old things to salvage, restore and make into something new has only grown and deepened with the passing of time.

We are a small family run business and have specialized in re-creation, restoration and re-sales.  You will find a large selection of antique, agricultural and Industrial merchandise. We sell antiques, primitives, hit and miss engines, parts and pieces, SteamPunk creations, and a wide variety of other items. After over 8 years experience selling on Ebay, and over 25,000 items sold with the highest ratings, 2016 saw us finally realizing the dream of opening our own brick and mortar store and website.

We are located in Central Michigan, the great Industrial State which led the world in manufacturing for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you in all your treasure hunting. Come by for a visit and check out all our goodies!

We credit our success to our loving Savior and Creator of the world, Jesus Christ! We hope that you have experienced the New Life and Re-Purposing that can only be done by the Master Carpenter and lover of your soul, the Man Christ Jesus!

Blessings,

The Shell's
